Ocean Network Express (ONE) has launched its Libya Express (LBX) service a dedicated weekly shipping line connecting Damietta Port in Egypt with Misurata Port in Libya.
Scheduled to commence operations in July 2025, this new service marks ONE’s first direct entry into the Libyan market and represents a strategic expansion of its footprint in North Africa.
The LBX service will operate on a fixed rotation: Damietta ➝ Misurata ➝ Damietta, providing reliable connectivity between the two key ports. The westbound voyage from Damietta to Misurata is expected to take 5 days, while the eastbound return will take approximately 8 days.
The launch is aimed at supporting growing trade demand in the region, while offering enhanced access to ONE’s global network via its transshipment hub at Damietta Container Terminal.
By establishing a direct and stable route to Libya, ONE is addressing the region’s increasing need for dependable logistics infrastructure in the Mediterranean.
