The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has started operating the Red Sea Express container service at King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu, receiving the vessel Folk Al Jubail, the first ship assigned by national carrier Folk Maritime to the route.
The service was launched in cooperation with SABIC and Red Sea Gateway Terminal, with the vessel offering a capacity of 1,100 TEU.
The service is set to connect King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu with Ain Sokhna Port in Egypt, strengthening direct maritime connectivity across the Red Sea and providing a faster option for container movements between the Egyptian and Saudi markets.
