In a significant move to support the private sector and boost exporters, Finance Minister Ahmed kouchouk announced that, starting August 7, 2025, the government will begin disbursing overdue payments to exporters for shipments completed up to June 2024.
The new mechanism allows exporters to receive their arrears in cash over a four-year period.

- A total of EGP 5 billion will be disbursed.
- More than 2,000 exporting companies are eligible.
- Companies will receive 50% of their outstanding dues in cash for shipments completed up to June 2024.
Payment Timeline:
- The government has committed to reviewing files and disbursing payments within three months of submitting the required documents.
For the first time, the government has allocated EGP 45 billion in the state budget to support exports during the current fiscal year, under a new program approved by the Cabinet the largest direct government support for exports to date.

- From August 17 to September 4, 2025, applications will be open for new companies holding certificates from the Export Development Fund (EDF).
- Starting September 18, 2025, additional disbursements will be made to these newly registered exporters, after file reviews and document completion.
